Why We Exist
Across the African diaspora, Black women are imagining, creating, and leading. But too often, we’re asked to do it alone without the support systems or space that make growth sustainable and joy possible.
The Sankofa Impact Collective is building an ecosystem of connection and care, one that honors our brilliance, supports our lives, and makes room for futures that don’t require undermining our own.
What We’re Building
Sankofa is built around three interconnected pathways that support Black women in realizing deferred dreams, building sustainable practices, and creating generational impact. Each pathway strengthens the next, turning individual growth into shared momentum and support across the diaspora.

In-person retreats that create space for transformation and cultural immersion to slow down, reconnect and move meaningful work forward, together.

Our Cofounders
The Sankofa Impact Collective is led by co-founders Sienna J. Brown and Dr. Erin Conner, supported by a Board of Directors with expertise spanning nonprofit governance, creative arts, technology, diaspora organizing, entrepreneurship, wellness, and social impact.
Dr. Erin Conner
Co-Founder & Director of Operations and FinanceErin has spent her career building equity-centered systems across nonprofit and corporate sectors, bringing expertise in nonprofit operations, fundraising, and strategic consulting with Fortune 100/500 companies on organizational transformation.
Sienna brings a systems-level approach to visionary strategy, shaped by her career designing values-driven brand and community ecosystems and her deep experience in leadership development, community-led growth, and global impact.
